Folicullar Graft Unit Failure

These are the plugs as they are more commonly called that contain parts of the scalp that the hair grows from and the hair follicle itself that are extracted from other areas of the head and then re-transplanted somewhere where thicker growth or coverage is needed. People have been concerned to the failure of such operations that many fear they are falling out after surgery which is a myth according to hair transplant doctors.

The scalp is usually totally healed within ten days with the scarring a sign of healing in and around the follicular graft unit allowing it to meld with the scalp. Growth will soon follow depending on health and stress levels but be sure to inform your hair doctor of any concerns for they may mean success or failure of the operation, for hair’s sake…..
