The same is the case with Hair Transplant technology where hair scientists have been trying to replicate hair from a single follicle to develop a process where several can be grown from just one donor hair. Several have been running in the race with some promising results coming from the International Hair Transplant Institute where they have been experimenting with dissecting hair follicles on the horizontal plane with some results. They are continuing to do research in the field and some success has been seen in tests on animals but not much luck on human hair. In the future we can see results from this research which may someday replace the current invasive techniques that are being used.

It can be considered as a form of organic plastic for it comes from living tissue that is produced by the hair follicle. As the fetus develops inside the womb, an average of about 5 million hairs develop all over the body. The ones on your head are called terminal hair and are the ones that become very much prominent through the later phases of life. As adolescence sets in, hormones trigger the growth of hair on the armpits, around the genitals and the chest. As we get older, the follicles or hair factories begin to loose their ability to replace hair which falls out regularly which can be at the rate of a couple of hundred daily. The older we get they begin to loose pigmentation and grow slower till they stop by the time you reach 50 with others going through this phase earlier. Some people suffer from a condition that discolors the hairs thought the particular individual is still young. The hair color changes to ashen giving him/her the appearance of older age. Other conditions do come up and can be found through the internet like the one from Seager Hair Transplant Center and many others.

Hair Restoration surgery has evolved tremendously over the past several years. In the hands of a qualified hair transplant surgeon, Follicular Unit Grafting (FUG) can provide natural, often undetectable results. Moreover, many physicians have adopted techniques that expand the donor area so that more hair follicles can be redistributed in a single surgical session. It should be noted, however, that performing hair transplants on young patients can be risky. While surgical results have improved enormously with new technologies, patients should remember that hair transplantation addresses a progressive disease. To date, there is no hair loss cure, only effective hair loss treatments.

Hair loss in young patients is a sensitive topic. A patient who starts doing hair transplants at young age may discover that his eventual hair loss progression surpasses his available donor hair supply. And, unfortunately, it is not easy to predict future hair loss for young patients. Hair loss suffers who get surgery too early in life often regret this choice as their natural hair continues to thin. In fact, some transplant patients wish they had not done surgery at all. Generally speaking, the younger the patient is at the onset of hair loss, the more hair they are likely to lose. Individuals with aggressive hair loss in their early twenties need to be educated about the long term ramifications of surgery, even with state-of-the-art procedures. Young men with less aggressive loss may be good candidates for restoration, but they too must be careful and the mindful of the potential for future balding.

Hair loss suffers should try addressing their condition with medical treatments before considering hair restoration surgery. Medications like as Propecia and Rogain can significantly slow down the progression of hair loss. These therapies can often halt the balding process long enough for patients to find the ideal solutions, surgical or otherwise.

As a woman if your hair isn’t full, flowing, silky and beautiful then chances are you may feel less than pretty. However, if you are finding your hair thinning as a woman it can be totally devastating to your self esteem. If this is you and you are considering a female hair transplant here are some things you will want to consider.

There are pros and cons to a female hair transplant that we will go over here so that you will better understand your options for this traumatizing condition you are experiencing.

Here are some factors regarding hair transplants you need to be aware of;

Well first off a female hair transplant is an expensive option usually ranging from $3,000 – $25,000. Also they come with no solid guarantees. Poor Results – many who have undergone a hair transplant are dissatisfied with the results. You want your hair to look natural but sometimes with this procedure you do not get that effect afterward. Some have complained of clumping in areas, patchiness, too much hair in some areas and not enough in others. Not just a one time treatment – many times you will have to have the procedure repeated in order to fill in all the thinning areas or bald spots and this can be quite traumatic as well. There is a lot of pain involved with this procedure and the healing process. The one pro of this option I guess is that you can see the results pretty much immediately.

So just the thought of those things associated with a female hair transplant above makes me want to explore other options…doesn’t it do the same for you? I thought so.

Your other options are the many hair regrowth products available today with ease. But how do you know which one to chose? Let me help you. Research is showing that a combination of a topical remedy as well as natural supplementation is proving very effective in helping you to regrow your hair.

In most cases of female hair loss the cause is either stress related, hormonal imbalances, certain medications, menopause, stopping the contraceptive pill and others.

Just so you know, if you are losing your hair due to medical treatments such as chemotherapy or radiation then do not waste your money on hair regrowth products at this time. Usually when your treatment has ended your hair will regrow naturally without need for any hair restoration product.

There is no need for you to go to such an extreme as a female hair transplant and suffer the pain and expense of something that may not even give you the results you’re hoping for. Look below for the best hair loss product to help you regrow your hair and regain your self esteem.

This may persist for a month or two but will soon start to recover allowing hair to regrow to it’s former glory. This may also be a sign of further problems which should be discussed further with your doctor to prevent more loss so be aware.

Many hair doctors recommend the use of hair loss concealers to alleviate the appearance of more hair lost but generally, the condition is temporary and depending on your scalp’s health recovery can vary. Be sure to remember further consultations with your doctor so any underlying causes can be eliminated or more treatment may be prescribed to prevent more loss than gain.

People have been concerned to the failure of such operations that many fear they are falling out after surgery which is a myth according to hair transplant doctors.

The scalp is usually totally healed within ten days with the scarring a sign of healing in and around the follicular graft unit allowing it to meld with the scalp. Growth will soon follow depending on health and stress levels but be sure to inform your hair doctor of any concerns for they may mean success or failure of the operation, for hair’s sake…..

Hair is vital for a lot of things in our physiology with the greatest concern being the loss of it. Blame stress, the environment and many other factors but researchers are discovering new and better treatments based on research around the regulatory growth gene.
Hair loss, pattern balding or thinning has long plagued mainly men but statistics show that the same goes for women. It may be the fact that they simply pay less attention but not for long for women are now more than ever more concerned with their hair and the loss of such. With the discovery of the said gene, therapy or other agents that may spur a production of the specified gene may end balding, a condition that afflicts many people the world over.

The study was initially focused on how stress affects gastrointestinal function but the accidental discovery was a blessing indeed to the growing number of balding men and women the world over.

This discovery would surely lead to a new generation of hormone blocking therapies that would effectively block the stress hormone known as corticotrophin-releasing factor, or CRF lessening the effects of stress on our bodies(hair mostly). Is this the end of balding, time will tell if these scientists have got it right. For balding people the world over, hope is one thing they rely upon.

One common question asked about the subject of hair transplants is whether a hair graft from one person can be transplanted to another person’s head.

In theory, hair grafts transplanted from one person to another is only possible if the two people are identical twins. But since baldness is also hereditary then there is the big chance that both twins will also be experiencing baldness even if in different degrees.

Hair transplants done this way will also require the transplant patient to take anti-rejection drugs, like the ones that organ transplant patients take. These drugs can be quite toxic and if the reason to take this is just for hair transplants then it’s not worth it.

Drugs have been found to do just that and allowed animal trials to show that increasing the blood flow to the scalp does encourage these dormant follicles to begin producing again. Scientists are trying to isolate the said compounds so they can synthesize them for clinical trials which could put an end to baldness forever. Many factors have been cited as the main cause of the thinning and subsequent loss of hair and most of them result in either drugs or surgical treatments, this new study focuses on the biomechanical reasons determining the molecules and compounds that are responsible for the loss of hair.
