Many people believe they can tell how bald they will become by looking at their close relatives. In reality, there is no way to obtain an accurate picture of future balding by examining a family tree. Far too many genetic variables come into play to accurately predict whether someone will develop male pattern baldness, and if he does how extensive it will be. Considering a transplant must determine whether his expectations are realistic or not. If someone has a few small areas to repair, it is possible to fill the entire area, but if someone’s balding is advanced, it will probably not have enough hair to donate to fill in all of the areas. It must be remembered that we are rearranging hair, not creating new hair. On occasion, the high levels of expectation regarding the amount of hair they will need to be happy, that they should probably purchase a hairpiece instead of a transplant.

To some degree of hair loss before the age of 50, it has been reported that 3 out of 5 men are affected. Women are not excused either and 1 in 4 experience thinning hair. They become more susceptible after menopause.
For health maintenance, hair doesn’t play a vital function. It is often seen as our “crown glory.” It is affiliated with youth, beauty, vitality and confidence which wish we can hold on to as we grow older. It is an important building block for self-esteem and self-confidence. Hair loss can chip away our self-image and self defeating depression that can creep on us without noticing it.
In a time in which hair loss can be completely defeated, some men or women choose to take a proactive approach to solving it. The 5 mainstream treatments are Minoxidil, Finasteride, Dutasteride, Surgery and hair transplant. In combination with any of the these treatment option, hair transplants are an effective tool for reversing hair loss.

Hair loss in men or women can contribute to the appearance of looking older than their age. Some consider hair as the integral part of their personality and losing hair disturbs their overall sense of well being. And for women, hair is nothing less than the symbol of their femininity. Hair loss affects many people and most of them get disappointed with the hair loss treatment that they try out. This is because most people are overwhelmed by the large number of hair re-growth treatments and products available and they fail to select the right one for them. What is distressing about hair loss treatments is that the vast majority of people are overanxious to do something about it as quickly as possible. So much so that, they do not even try to find out the cause of their hair loss before looking for a remedy. Hair loss could be hereditary or it could result from stress, medication, erratic food habits, chemicals used for dyeing/ bleaching the hair, the environment and so on.

Hair transplant is one way to solve baldness and can be very impressive; it is a surgical removal of hair from a certain area of the scalp and its relocation to a bald or thinned area. Hair transplantation is a procedure in which the surgeon removes areas of hair-bearing scalp from the back or sides of the head and reattaches these sections to the balding areas. The familiar term for this technique is ‘grafting’. The newly relocated hairs should now grow from what was previously a bald spot. Each graft contains a different amount of hair, some may have only two hairs and others could have forty. This technique is the most popular of surgical hair additions, even though you may need to have multiple sessions to get the look that you want. The thicker the hair you want the more sessions you may require. Prices will vary greatly depending on your needs.

Hair transplantation is a surgical technique that involves moving skin with hair follicles from one part of the body (the donor site) to the bald or balding parts (the recipient site). It is primarily used to treat male baldness pattern where the skin grafts containing hair follicles that are genetically resistant to balding are transplanted to bald scalp. However, it is also used to restore eye lashes, eye brows, beard hair, and even used to fill in scars caused by accidents and surgery such as face lifts and previous hair transplants. Hair transplantation differs from skin grafting because of skin grafts contain almost all of the epidermis and dermis surrounding the hair follicle, and that many tiny grafts are transplanted rather than a single strip of skin. Its main usage as a treatment for baldness is controversial and is heavily debated among surgeons, medical doctors, dermatologists and patients, especially on the internet.

Even the best clinics have resorted to trained technicians and not doctors in doing the procedures hoping to get more profits in the same period of time. The most successful procedures are done by specially trained physicians who conduct and manage the procedure well after the end of the transplant itself. Technicians are trained only to do the process itself but not to realize any problems should they occur which can spell disaster for any attempt to revive an age affected part of the body.

Most experts in the US agree that clinics who have technicians do their work is commercializing the business leading to more failures. this tends to increase the likelyhood of people avoiding the tratment processes alltogether affecting the market for their products and services. To be sure you are getting your money’s worth, check with the many hair experts online or better yet try to get consultaions form some of the best and biggest ones like the NHI who has a pool of doctors who are specially trained in the procedures all over the US and even the world.

If you think only men are the victims of this dreaded hair loss, you are definitely wrong. The world is in fact fair because even women too experience this (although only a number of them). Almost 20 million American women admitted that they experienced such hair loss and this is in fact horror to them since women are vain about their physical appearance.

Hair loss in women normally occurs after the menopausal stage. This is normal since your body does not anymore produce the same hormones like before. A study shows that women who have curly hair tend to lose more hair than those with straight hair since the former is much drier than the latter.

Psoriasis is a skin disease characterized by itchy red blotches that appear on the skin. This disease is not only limited to the skin on your body but, it can also appear on your scalp. So, what do you do with itchy skin? You normally scratch it. If you have psoriasis on the scalp, chances are, you’re going to scratch your head most of the time; and if you do, hair loss will most likely happen. If you have flakes on your scalp, make sure you don’t pick on it as this will only worsen the case. A dermatologist (not any doctor) will most likely cure your disease, so go see one before it is too late.

Since hair transplant’s a surgery, you have to expect that you will experience little discomforts after your surgery. There are certain surgeries, however, that produce little discomfort and patients too can hurry back home after the surgery was done. The recovery however takes a little time, depending on the amount of hair transplanted on your head. If you feel pain, doctors do prescribe meds for that, Prednisone being one. Your sleeping position is also vital since you have to elevate your head (more elevated than your body) to reduce excessive blood flow to your head. Rest and you should feel fine the next day.

9. Have you heard of the follicle isolation technique? It is actually the best kind of hair transplant procedure as it leaves no scar on any part of your scalp. If your budget permits you to have this medical procedure, then do.
